Change is in the air!

And I am not discussing politics here 😉

AI-based search is getting popular. You and other users will get answers based on our content without even visiting our It’s FOSS.

It will hurt us, for sure. Fewer people visiting our website, fewer new people even know about us, and thus fewer new readers and supporters.

But we are not going to stop publishing helpful Linux tutorials for you 😀

Personally, I prefer text-based tutorials. Easier to write, easier to keep them relvent by updating. But videos seems to be the 𝚏̶𝚞̶𝚝̶𝚞̶𝚛̶𝚎̶ present.

So, we are going to make more videos for you; longer videos for YouTube and short videos for Instagram.

And we need your support. Please help us reach the 60,000 mark by subscribing and encouraging more people to subscribe to our YouTube channel. We need this moral boost 🙏

🗓️ Tech Trivia

Considering that this is the election week in the US, here’s an interesting trivia.

In the 1952 presidential election (U.S.), CBS News used a UNIVAC computer to predict the outcome between Eisenhower and Stevenson. UNIVAC’s early analysis pointed to an Eisenhower win, but newscasters Walter Cronkite and Charles Collingwood doubted its accuracy, given opinion polls favored Stevenson. They delayed announcing the computer’s prediction until Eisenhower’s victory became evident.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 FOSSverse Corner

One of our regular FOSSers ponders if scams will get more sophisticated now that AI has been growing rapidly.

But with the growth of artifical intelligence, voice recognition, speech and images these types of scams could get wo…
